New Leadership Delivering Results for Our Community
My name is Christian Waskow. I am originally from South Carolina. I moved to West Virginia in 2008, and consider it my home. I come from a hard working family. My father is a retired Marine, and a retired police officer. My mother is a media specialist at Beaufort Elementary School in Beaufort, South Carolina. I am also the oldest of four children. I have one sister who teaches special education in Florida, a sister who works for Mary Kay, and a brother who is a fireman.
As for me, I am a veteran who served in the United States Air Force. Currently, I am employed by the federal government, and have been with them for 13 years. I am married. My wife and I have a blended family of five kids. Three of our kids are in the Berkeley County School System, and two of those three have special needs.
I chose to run for Berkeley County School Board because I believe change is needed. Our teachers need better pay, county policies need to be updated, and I believe in school choice. Should I get elected, I will work to serve the residents of Berkeley County. I will listen to the parents' concerns for their children, because nobody knows what a child needs than their own parents.
